What is this Ancient Wisdom stuff?

Good question. I’m no expert but here’s what I’ve found out so far and why I think it’s such a great basis for a story or two. You see the great writers all tapped into something at the heart of the human condition. It’s like they know what we are all searching for but struggle to fully articulate. I think that’s because the truth can never be articulated. The truth goes beyond words and into a place reached only by those who have grasped the nature of existence beyond a single life. We all yearn for a place called home, a place of sanctuary, a place of safety that always seems just out of reach. If only I could get that new something it will be fine. A new job, a new partner a new experience. Writers, poets, artists of all kind help us to see beyond those longings and into a place closer to the divine.

The Ancient Wisdom tells us there is a way to that place, a place beyond the veil. It tells how the earth is a manifestation of the lowest level of consciousness. The human level being the highest level on earth after the animals, the vegetable and the mineral. Yes, even minerals have a type of consciousness from which all others have flowed. Everything is conscious. Humans are very special - deeply flawed but held in higher esteem even than the angels. That’s because we’ve all chosen to come to the earth and live a life of pain and suffering or beauty and pleasure - depending on what karmas you have to work out.

It is a deeply fascinating way of viewing the world around us. Many people have attested to achieving a freedom from rebirth through reconnecting with our divine spark. That’s what Buddha did and what the Christ came to tell us about. In the next blog I’ll share some of the best books and resources on this subject.
